DOTHAN: Multiple Dothan Fire units responded to a report of a structure fire at 1037 North Park.
Dothan Police Patrol Sergeant was first on the scene. Reports were smoke visible. It went from light smoke to heavy smoke real quick. The Sergeant reported it was a stove fire.
The first unit on scene, Dothan Fire Engine 1 - Central, advised light smoke visible. Battalion Chief Groomes has command. Engine 1 advised the fire was contained to the oven and they have no extension of fire out side the oven.
Dothan Fire Engine 3 - Westgate, Ladder Truck - Westgate, another engine but not sure which one, and Pilcher Ambulance responded. After confirming this was not a working fire one engine was released.
The resident who worked to extinguish the fire with a fire hydrant was treated for smoke inhalation.
