BARBOUR COUNTY AL:     The Alabama Department of Corrections has requested Dale County Sheriff Helicopter for assistance.


The preliminary information is a inmate has jumpred into pond in an effort to escape. This is at the prison in Clio.


UPDATED @ 6:05 AM. 


The escaped inmate is now back in custody of the Alabama Department of Corrections.
