GENEVA COUNTY:   5:44 PM    Geneva County 911 has dispatched Slocomb Fire - EMS and Geneva County Sheriff Department to an edged weapon assault.


The person(s) reporting to 911 stated that a male subject has been stabbed in the back.


As Slocomb Fire - EMS was responding Survival Flight was being contacted about response.


Geneva County Sheriff Deputies and Slocomb Fire - EMS are on the scene at this time.


The address is the 400 block of Sunnside Lane in Hartford. This address is a Hartford address but outside of the city limits of Hartford and in Geneva County.


Geneva County Sheriff Deputies have called for a Geneva County Sheriff Criminal Investigator to respond to the scene.

Geneva County Sheriff Deputies on the scene have requested that a Hartford Police Officer be dispatched to meet a Geneva County Sheriff Deputy where the suspect is located.


The responding Geneva County Sheriff Criminal Investigator has directed the Sheriff Deputies to secure both the crime scene and when the person of interest is located and detained, secure him, his clothing and location until the Sheriff Investigator arrives.


At 6:27 PM Slocomb Fire - EMS is leaving the scene with the 45 year old male victim, with a stab wound to the back from an apparent steak knife. Slocomb Fire - EMS is transporting emergency response to Southeast Health in Dothan.
