HOUSTON COUNTY: Cowarts Fire and Ashford Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Jordon Ave. Houston County Sheriff’s Office also responded and have confirmed entrapment.

Jordon Ave is closed in the 4100 block is closed until the wreck can be cleaned up and the power pole replaced.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

UPDATED @ 7:00 PM    On the scene Houston County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jeff Carlisle, Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Lt. Anthony Hatcher, Houston County Sheriff Patrol Lt. Anthony Hatcher and multiple deputies.

For ALEA-Troopers, on the scene Trooper Carlton and Cpl. Jason McAllister.

Cowarts Volunteer Fire and Ashford Rescue were on the scene.

A single vehicle accident left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The person was entrapped but did not require an extensive extrication.

Ashford Rescue transported one to a Dothan Hospital.

Alabama Power pole was clipped. A cable TV line was across the road. KUDOS to Alabama Power with an excellent response time.
