COLUMBIA - BARBOUR COUNTY:    Columbia Police Officer Timothy Wayne Liles was booked into the Barbour County Jail today in Clayton Alabama.

RSN confirmed through Dispatcher Williams that Lyles was booked in and later released. When asked the charge the Dispatcher Williams would not release the charges. Even though that is public records, Dispatcher Williams made the informed and conscious decision to withold public information.

But who needs Dispatcher Williams? Timothy Wayne Lyles, Booking Number 5263 was booked into the Barbour County Jail at 4:37 PM.

The offense charged was for Cruelty To Dog/Cat in the second degree.

Lyles was released on bond.

The Presiding Circuit Judge, Bert Smithhart, who in my opinion meets the definition of a dishonest crook in a robe, only allows one bail bonding business in Barbour County. You use that company or remain in jail. Judge Bert Smithhart in my opinion is not worthy of wearing a robe and is a lying crooked as Judge, in my opinion.

Lyle worked in Ashford as a Ashford Police Officer. Lyles was famous for "stacking" tickets on people. He left Ashford and went to Quitman County Georgia for a brief time. When Lyles left Ashford he filed a civil lawsuit against Ashford claiming they owed him money for time he worked and was not paid for.

Lyles, commonly referred to as Bo Lyles, then went to Barbour County as a Deputy Sheriff. And today he was a inmate in the Barbour County Jail.

Lyles then left Barbour County and came to Columbia as a Police Officer. In Columbia he is really a "revenue officer' issuing a lot of traffic citations. A lot of complaints to Columbia Police Chief Phillip Killingsworth. Despite those complaints Chief Killingsworth kept Bo Lyles on as a police officer in Columbia.

RSN has not reached out to Columbia Police Chief Phillip Killingsworth about how this arrest for CRUELTY To A DOG/CAT will affect Officer Lyles employment with Columbia Police Department.

The circumstances of the cruelty is unknown at this time.

Lyles is out of the Barbour County Jail on bond.

Columbia Police Chief Phillip Killingsworth was notified of the arrest warrants on Lyle on his return trip from the Alabama Police Chief Conference.

When Chief Killingsworth was notified he made contact with the Barbour County Sheriff to find out details. Once the details were found out Chief Killingsworth contact Columbia Police Officer Lyles. He instructed him to immediately clean out his patrol vehicle and placed him on Adminstrative Leave.

Chief Killingsworth did this via phone before he ever made it back to Columbia from the Chief conference.

Columbia Police Chief Killingsworth later transported Officer Lyles to Clayton where the Barbour County Jail was located and turned him into the Barbour County Sheriff.

Lyles was then forced to use the only bail bonding company that Barbour County Circuit Judge Smithhart ( in my opinion the Judge is a dishonest crook ) allows to operate in Barbour County.
