KINSEY:     7:28 PM.   Kinsey Police Sgt. Mock has been in a chase. The subject fled on foot after abandoning the vehicle on Malibu - Chevy Drive, off Scottsdale.


The chase started on Roney Road. The subject made multiple turns and sped through multiple stop signs before the driver jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies rolling that way to assist. Kinsey Mayor Jason Reneau was to Sgt. Mock in seconds of the suspect jumping from the vehicle and running on foot.


The vehicle was a Dodge Challenger that ran from Sgt. Mock.


Dothan Police Department has K-9 units rolling to initiate a track.

Sgt. Mock asked Houston County Sheriff 911 to contact Kinsey Police Chief Tim Heard as the chase was progressing. Houston County Sheriff 911 had no contact.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies ( 7:37 PM ) have arrived with Sgt. Mock. Dothan Police K-9 responding emergency to initiate a track.


Sgt. Mock has the passenger detained. A weapon has been found in the vehicle, a 9mm firearm. BUT - a major topic in the Alabama Legislature is “PERMITLESS CARRY” of firearms. But not one single member of the Alabama Legislature is on the streets dealing with persons who have firearms and running from the law enforcement. But these coward wimps of the Alabama Legislature demand security protection for themselves.


BTW - the firearm is stolen from Hartford Alabama and has now been recovered.

The search has been called. One suspect, a female, is in custody. She is charged with possession of stolen firearm.


ALL CITIZENS OK. The male subject eluded law enforcement but he will be gotten.


Also, STUPID - when you run from the police check your gas level first. STUPID ran out of gas!!!
