DOTHAN: Dothan Police and Dothan Fire responded to the Super 8 Motel where a subject has shown up in the front of the motel with a gunshot wound to the head. The person working the front desk called it in.

Police are saying it appears to be a self inflicted gunshot wound. Police are also reporting the victim is breathing. Dothan Fire Engine 2 is on the scene and treating the victim. Police have also located the firearm in the front floorboard of the SUV.

Police investigators are responding to the scene, but as of right now they are reporting this appears to be self inflicted wound.

No picture shown is of the vehicle the person who is reported to have been the vehicle the person was in.

Dothan Fire and EMS along with law enforcement have been doing all they could possibly do to save the persons life.

You will see emergency units on the scene for a period of time as the investigation continues.

The victim is being transported to the hospital while first responders are still treating him.
