SLOCOMB: 4:07 pm Geneva County 911 dispatched Slocomb Fire - EMS to a structure fire.
The fire location was 1403 S. State Highway 103 at Slocomb. The person reporting to 911 was a grease fire on stove and everyone evacuated from inside the residence.
Slocomb Fire Engine Company was on the scene in 5 minutes of the call being dispatched. Slocomb Fire Chief Kyle Hovey was Command on the scene.
On arrival Slocomb Fire reported a single story residential structure, smoke visible, a fire hydrant across the street. A offensive fire attack was established.
Within 8 minutes of the 911 call, water was on the fire, fire knocked down. The fireman were checking to make sure no hot spots and everything under control.
GREAT JOB to 911 and Slocomb Fire and EMS.
