Dothan - 12:15pm Multiple Houston County Deputies and Dothan Police are setting a perimeter around the Houston County Jail at 901 East Main. The kitchen staff realized that inmate Chase Miller was missing from kitchen. He was last seen around 11:00am. A head count is being preformed in the jail currently. 

Chase Miller is a White Male, 25 years old. If you see him or know his where abouts contact local authorities immediately. If you know his where abouts and do not turn him in you will be charged as well.

Chase was currently serving time for Receiving Stolen Property of a car. He could be wearing an orange or Khaki jump suit. 

1:00pm Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff K9 teams have dogs on the ground searching. 

2:00pm Inmate was last spotted about 1:30pm on the train tracks east bound next to Hwy 52 at Omussee. Dogs are still following track at this time. A heavy police presence is covering the area. If you see anything suspicious please call the police. 

2:45pm Dothan/Dale County Helicopter is in the air and headed to assist with the search. Dothan Police ground units are returning to the city. Houston County Sheriff units will continue. Dothan PD out with person on tracks in 6500 Block of Hwy 52 but not the suspect. 

3:50pm Houston County tracking dogs have lost the scent on the tracks. Deputies are still in the area or Webb and Columbia searching. 
4:30pm Sheriff’s bloodhounds have picked up the scent again and back on the search. 

6:15pm Houston County units that were actively searching have now gone back in service. This does not mean that they have stopped looking for him. It is time for shift change and some units came in to assist with the search. I can assure you that the search will continue through the evening and night and into tomorrow. It will just not be as large and will be done focused more in certain areas with teams. Sheriff Valenza doesn't take too kindly of people who leave his jail without permission.

Continue to mindful and keep a lookout for this inmate. Contact local authorities with any information.

Dale County Sheriff Deputies got in a pursuit of a vehicle on Highway 84 West towards Daleville. As soon as safe the Dale County Sheriff Deputies pit the subject and sent him spinning. The suspect bailed on foot.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and officers in a ground search in the Daleville area of All In Federal Credit Union. SWAT Teams and K-9 Teams on the ground to include Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza, Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and Houston County Jail Commander James Brazier.

Possibly escapee from Houston County.
