AVON:     4:13 PM     Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Sheriff Deputies to a burglary in progress.


The location is Preston Circle off Highway 84 East in Avon.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded. Ashford Police Officer also called enroute and has arrived on the scene and the Webb Police Chief has also called enroute.


The person reporting advised suspects told them they had permission to be at the residence.

Ashford Police Officer reported as he arrived a white female ran into the woods. The female has been identified and resides in the trailer park near that location.


A couple Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Webb Police have arrived on the scene.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies have arrested two persons in connection with the burglary. KUDOS to Ashford Police for going out of their jurisdiction and being proactive. 


You know some officers are always concerned about liability. Because of the forward thinking of the Ashford Police Officer, Blue is his nickname, he was on the scene in under three minutes from the calls being dispatched.


Some spend their time worrying about liability. Some law enforcement officers think more of the service to the citizens and their safety.  And it is those officers that have success and convictions and not the ones that charge for Capital Murder but in the end only get convictions for Manslaughter. 


Ashford Police Officer Blue separates the men from the boyz!!!! Thanks Blue for protecting the citizens of Avon today.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies were investigating. Or the ones on call. Others were pretending to be on call but did not respond.


Thanks to Webb Police Chief Jimmy Holley.  He also was more concerned about the protection of the citizens by rapid response to the scene which was outside the city limits of Webb. But there was an emergency call and Chief Holley took care of his people and their needs.


As we get more information we will update.


Other investigators responded as well as Patrol Deputies.
