UPDATED at 10:00 AM... Farming Accident Leaves One Dead

HOUSTON COUNTY: This morning around 2:00 AM.. Houston County 911 dispatched Pansy Fire and Ashford Rescue to a medical call on County Road 8.  Reports are a male victim was found under a tractor.  Reports are the man was last heard from around 8:00 PM and when he didn’t come home his wife went looking for him. 


The elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office. At this time it appears to just be an accident and no foul play is involved. 


Our hearts and prayers go out to the family.


No further information is available at this time.

The man from this morning’s accident has been I identified as Dewayne Harper. No more information has been released on this accident.
