HOUSTON COUNTY: Wicksburg Fire and Wicksburg Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident at US 84 and Hwy 123. Reports are entrapment of at least one person. Wicksburg fire request ed Dothan Fire respond due to nature of injury and entrapment. 


Houston County Sheriff’s Office and ALEA Troopers also responded. The wreck involves three vehicles with heavy damage.


Rickey is responding for RSN.


Wicksburg Rescue has transported two emergency traffic to the hospital. Daleville Rescue transported two with non life threatening injuries.

Multiple ALEA - Troopers, to include Post Commander Captain Tracy Nelson. It took three ambulances, two from Wicksburg and one from Daleville to transport all of the injured patients. Dothan Fire Engine 8 met the ambulance while transporting, boarding the ambulance for advanced life support.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies Barnes and Rice on the scene assisting ALEA with traffic control.


There is one confirmed fatality on the scene. We will be holding the scene pictures until we confirm next of kin notified.

Wicksburg Command has requested Wicksburg Rescue to return emergency in reference to a 20 year having heart problems not involved in the accident. 


UPDATED @ 11:24 PM  ALEA PRESS RELEASE


DOTHAN POST -  A four-vehicle crash at approximately 4 p.m. Monday, July 6, has claimed the life of a Coffee County juvenile. A 15-year-old female from New Brockton was killed when the 2015 Nissan Altima she was a  passenger in was struck from behind by a 2010 Ford F150 driven by Anthony Miquel Bishop, 55, of Enterprise. Two additional vehicles were damaged in the crash. Three occupants of the Nissan were transported to Flowers Hospital,  as well as the driver of the Ford F150. One passenger in the Nissan remains in critical condition at Flowers Hospital. Bishop was released from the hospital and has been arrested for DUI. Additional charges are pending. The crash occurred on US 84 at the intersection of AL 123, eight miles west of Dothan. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
