DOTHAN:    2:35 PM   A search is underway on Hatton Road off South Park Avenue and Honeysuckle Road area.

This was not an actutal "pursuit". Dothan Police followed the vehicle, lost it, and found it again. At the time the vehicle was found the driver had fled the scene. 

Dothan Police is searching the area. The passenger was present and Dothan Police has the subject detained. 

Matt Boster is on the scene and more information will follow.

One might outrun the car but the radio is a different issue. Very difficult to out run the radio.

This all started when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Woodland Drive. Multiple Dothan Officers are on the scene. The suspect has beded down in a large area of woods near the railroad tracks. K-9s have tracked the suspect but has lost the track.  Officers do have the suspects vehicle and his passenger.  Police are calling the search at this time.
