HENRY COUNTY: 12:48 PM Emergency units from Abbeville and Henry County Sheriff Department are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 27 lke you are going from Abbeville to Echo or Ozark.
Two ambulances are on the scene and a fire truck.
If we receive more we will update.

Life flight is landing on scene to transport one patient.

This was a two vehicle accident of which was entrapment. LIFEFLIGHT landed on the scene. The flight medic boarded the ambulance with Abbeville Rescue and transported to Southeast Health.
Abbeville Rescue transported a second patient and Echo Rescue transported a second patient.
There is a fatality in the accident.

Henry County Coroner Derek Wright has confirmed one person was killed in the accident. The person was pronounced dead at a Dothan hospital.
Coroner Derek Wright has identified the deceased as 88 year old Betty Joyce Mitchell of Abbeville.
