DOTHAN: At 6:10 PM... Dothan Fire and Dothan Police are responding to a report of a second shooting today. The second shooting was at 1475 West Selma. Reports are a female suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Police are on the scene and have confirmed the female was shot. Dothan Fire-medics are on the scene treating the victim. Unconfirmed reports are this was a drive-by with shot being fired into an dwelling and the victim was shot in the ankle.
Police are investigating.

It has been confirmed the female victim was shot twice, once in the abdomen and once in the ankle. The suspects are reported to have been wearing mask.

Dothan Police Lt. Doug Magill, Commander of Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division was on the scene.
The PRELIMINARY ON SCENE information so far indicates this house has been subjected to several burglaries. Someone was staying at the residence.
Reports indicate four black male subjects attempted to gain entry into the house. The people inside yelled and a verbal altercation between those inside and those outside occured.
During the verbal altercation four black male subjects are reported to have shot into the occupied dwelling.
The suspects fired 10 or more shots.
A female was struck twice, once in the abdomen and once in the ankle.
Dothan Fire advised Alabama Trauma Control of the firearm assault and the female victim was transported under trauma alert to a Dothan hospital.
Dothan Police Patrol Division, Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division has the case under investigation.
