REHOBETH - Houston County 911 has dispatched multiple Houston County Deputies and Rehobeth Rescue to a Pedestrian Struck in the 600 Block of Hadden Road on private property.
The suspect vehicle has left the scene in a burgundy SUV. Deputies believe they know who the suspect is and are looking for them.
Rehobeth Rescue has requested Dothan Fire for mutual aid.
Dothan Fire has meet with Rehobeth Rescue and Transporting emergency to a local hospital.

Houston County Sheriff's Office has both Hadden and Johnny Murphy Roads closed due to the investigations into the hit & run on Hadden Road.
UPDATE 1:30pm
The victim of the hit and run succumb to his injuries at a Dothan Hospital. Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has identified the victim as 32-year-old Michael Arriaga. Houston County Deputies are still on scene in the Johnny Murphy Road and Hadden Road area searching for the believed to be suspect.
It is believe the suspect and the victim were in a domestic dispute when the victim was struck with a baseball bat then ran over with the SUV. Houston County Deputies are familiar with the suspect and working diligently to locate him.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Criminal Investigators are working the scene. The actual assault by bat and vehicle is believed to have occurred on Hadden Road in Rehobeth. The suspect is believed to live on Johnny Murphy Road which is one road south of the murder scene.
Houston County Criminal Investigators are processing the scene for evidence.
Aa of this writing the suspect is not in custody.
The suspect is identified as white male Matt Deal of the Rehobeth community. Anyone who knows the location of Deal is urged to call Houston County Sheriff Department, 334-677-4808 or 911 for the nearest law enforcement agency.

The suspect in this afternoon's hit and run. The suspect was taken into custody behind the trailer park on Johnny Murphy Road.

Houston County Sheriff Investigators have officially charged Phillip Mathew Deal with felony murder from today’s incident.
