UPDATED at 9:14 PM.. DPD in Pursuit of a Vehicle Refusing to Stop

DOTHAN: At 8:50 PM...Dothan Police attempted to stop a vehicle down town but the driver is refusing to stop. LT. watson told them to to discontinue the pursuit. Reports are a deputy picked up the vehicle and also attempted to stop the vehicle. Dothan Police are backing up the deputy.
The pursuit is just making the block down town. The officer was just stopping the vehicle for a traffic violation.
The vehicle is a black tahoe with a white male driver.

DPD has the vehicle stopped and the driver in custody. It's not clear why he refused to stop for Police.

Lt Watson advised it was NOT a deputy but a ABI Trooper that attempt to stop the suspect.
