Updated Dothan Man charged with Attempted Murder-Now Charged with Capital Muurder

On September 6, 2020, Dothan Police Investigators began an investigation into a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Lena Street and Crawford Street. It was reported that more than one individual exited a vehicle at the intersection and began firing multiple rounds at the victim, who was not struck by any shots.
On September 15, 2020, tips from the public lead investigators to identify and locate the driver of the suspect vehicle. After a lengthy interview, the driver, Phillip Barkley Jr., was charged with attempted murder in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be forthcoming. Phillip Michael Barkley Jr (23) was charged with Attempted Murder and is being held without bond.

On September 15, 2020, Dothan Investigators charged Phillip Barkley Jr. with Attempted Murder. Barkley is now charged with Capital Murder in the shooting death of Christina Moore on South Lena Street that occurred on September 6th, 2020. Barkley was one of the individuals involved in the actions that caused the death of Moore. Additional arrests are possible.
Phillip Barkley Jr is charged with Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Attempted Murder, and Capital Murder. Barkley is being held without bond.
