HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY MRS. LILLIAN WILLIAMS
My Mom who passed away two years ago was born on September 29th and my Dad was born on that day as well.
When I found out that this beautiful lady was turning 100 on her birthday tomorrow ( September 29th, 1920 ) I thought what better way to celebrate my Mom’s and Mrs. Lillian William’s birthday than with a homemade poundcake made from my Moms very own special recipe.
So last night I made Mrs. Lillian’s cake and today I surprised her with it at her home in Cottonton, Al.
Her grandson Rodney Williams and I have had this day planned for several months. He called a couple of times making sure I didn’t forget...and I told him there’s no way I could forget such a special day honoring his grandmother on her 100th birthday and honoring my mom in Heaven on her birthday.
I know my Mom is looking down from Heaven with a big smile on her face from seeing Mrs. Lillian enjoying the poundcake made from her own recipe.
Yes Mom I remembered...Never use anything but White Lily Flour when making a poundcake :)
Happy 100th Birthday
