 END OF AGENDA

The Houston County Commission Chairman makes a annual salary of $ 89.000 per year, health insurance, and is vested in Alabama State Retirement in only 10 years.

A Houston County Commissioner makes a annual salary of $ 33,000.00 per year, plus $ 250.00 a month to furnish his/her own vehicle which is $ 3,000.00 per year. That makes a total compensation of $ 36,000.00 per year. They get all cost of living raises county employees get. They get health insurance and vested in ten years for retirement.

If you are like D-3 Commissioner Ricky Herring, you draw $ 250.00 per month or   $ 3,000,00 per year to furnish his own vehicle, BUT, he is furnished a Houston County Sheriff Department black unmarked Z-71 truck so he does not furnish a vehicle but drives the county. Herring gets to vote his own raises.

When the Houston County Commission recently voted a raise D-3 Commissioner Ricky Herring got 4.3% raise as a Houston County Commissioner and 4.3% raise as a Houston County Deputy Sheriff.

So while everyone else got a 4.3%, D-3 Ricky Herring - TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY - got 8.6%.

As you Can see from their agenda tomorrow, the meeting might take 10 minutes, at the most 15 minutes.

NO MENTION OF HOUSTON COUNTY FARM CENTER SALE
