DOTHAN:    The location is Lowe’s, Ross Clark Circle and Highway 52 West in Dothan.

The annual Sarah Elizabeth Goree Boston Butt and Rib Sale is underway today, Thursday and Friday. It will depend on availability if it continues into Saturday.

Everyone looks forward to the Goree Boston Butts and ribs each year. They know what they are doing and cook outstanding food.

The proceeds go to benefit the Child Advocacy Center.

You will not find any better people then Bill and Lisa Goree, their son Seth and his wife Erin. A number of friends take vacation from work to be there and work to help make this a success. Last night at 9 PM even Dothan Police Major Will Benny was among those with gloves on over smokers cooking Boston Butts and ribs. 

When you meet the Goree family you will see why friends take off work to be there and help. They radiate others above self in keeping the memory of their daughter, sister and sister in law, Sarah Elizabeth Goree, and the super person she was by supporting a great cause being the Child Advocacy Center.

While a student at Dothan High School, on May 11, 2001, Sarah Elizabeth Goree life was tragically taken in a car accident on WESTGATE Parkway near Bel Aire Drive in Dothan. 
Sarah was a loving girl full of energy. Her family thought of a ways to demonstrate her love for people and keeping her memory alive. They hooked up with Cheryl Walker and the Child Advocacy Center and established the annual Boston butt and rib sale.

Through the Goree Families initiative, Sarah Elizabeth Goree has touched many lives and her love continues each day in helping others through this fund raiser.
