DOTHAN:      07:15 AM    Dothan 911 has dispatched a structure fire 426 CHapelwood Drive.

Multiple Dothan Fire Engines are responding to the scene.

Initial reports are a shed behind the residence. But you roll for worse case situation.

Dothan Fire Engine 3 ( Westgate ) Engine 8 ( Highlands ), Engine 10 ( West Main ), Rehab Truck, Squad 1, and Truck 3 ( Westgate ) responding along with Battalion Chief Braswell.

Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance responding.

Engine 10 ( West Main ) under the command of Captain Jack Wood arrives first, followed by Engine 8 ( Highlands ), Engine 3 ( Westgate ) and Battalion Chief Braswell all at the same time.

Captain Woods report a single story residential structure with light smoke in a shop detached from the garage. Captain Woods said a fire inside a small shop vac.

Captain Woods reported Engine 10 could handle and all other units can return to service.

WHY ROLL ALL OF THIS EQUIPMENT?     Because you roll what is required if an actual structure fire in order to first, SAVE LIVES, and second SAVE PROPERTY. Until one of the emergency units arrive and determine exactly, the required resources roll. That is why a multi unit response. You do not wait until someone gets on the scene and then go, oh crap, this places is on fire and someone is inside.

That is why som many roll.
