07:30 AM Early Morning Accident Claims Life of Dothan Doctor and Daughter

HENRY COUNTY: Around midnight a Henry County car accident claimed the life of a Dothan physician and his daughter and left his wife with serious injuries.
A one car accident traveling south on Highway 431 left the roadway and traveled down the ditch and striking the culvert.
The physician, Dr. Nidal Yunis and his 13 year old daughter, Sherees Yunis were killed in the accident. The son escaped serious injuries. Mrs. Yunis received serious injuries in the accident.
The accident occurred around 11:30 PM. The family were returning home from vacation.
ALEA - Troopers are in charge of the accident investigation. Henry County Coroner Derek Wright pronounced Dr. Yunis and his daughter dead on the scene.
As in all traffic deaths 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Russ Goodman was notified.
Sherees Yunis was a student at Houston Academy. The school is closing today.
Dr. Yunis was a practicing physician at Southeast Health.
