DOTHAN: 07:37 AM Dothan Police 911 dispatched Dothan Police, Dothan Fire, Pilcher Ambulance to South Oates and East Lafayette to a female, naked, swinging two swords.
Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance staged until Dothan Police declared the scene safe.
The female threw a tire at an employee of the business at that location, went after another employee with a handsaw, and busted the front glass door window of the business. The naked female had a steel rod when police arrived.
Dothan Police arrived and the female started running across South Oates Street, naked, in front of a large truck traveling on Oates Street. The Dothan Police Officer was left with no alternative but to deploy his taser to get the naked female stopped and under control before she hurt herself or someone else.
Once the taser was deployed Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance came on in to the scene because it was declared safe. A safety hood had to be placed over the females head because of attempts to spit at law enforcement or EMS.
The female refused any identification of who she was. She was transported by Pilcher Ambulance to the hospital for admission to the BMU.
