GENEVA COUNTY:    07:55 AM     Geneva County 911 dispatched Slocomb Fire - EMS, Geneva County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA - Troopers to a motor vehicle accident, with reported entrapment, County Road 9, North of Slocomb.

On arrival emergency responders found a single motor vehicle, over turned, and the driver had self extricated.

Some witnesses stated the vehicle rolled three to four times before coming to rest on it's side.

The injuries did not appear life threatening. Slocomb EMS had the patient inside the ambulance on the scene for a period of time before transporting to the hospital, non emergency.

ALEA - Trooper Shane Rogers is on the scene and in charge of the investigation.

Slocomb Fire - EMS had the wreck at Malvern and moments later the accident on North County Road 9.

Slocomb Mayor Rob Hinson, who also is an attorney, responded to the accident in a tie dressed for court. Mayor Hinson took the EVOC ( Emergency Vehicle Operation Course ) to become certified that when needed he can drive the ambulance. Mayor Hinson fearing they might be short handed and need the driver responded to assist. 

Mayor Hinson even had his daughter late for school. Mayor Hinson has court at 9 AM and still has to go home and change clothes because he is soaked from being out on the rain.

Judge, 08:24 AM, Attorney Hinson has legitimate reasons to be late court court.
