DOTHAN:      Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division has worked around the clock since Tuesday night at app. 10:30 PM investigating, gathering evidence, conducting interviews. Because it was about 10:30 PM when 21 year old Zion Brown was gunned down while driving on Denton Road and died.


Today Dothan Police announce the suspect.


Dothan Police have obtained arrest warrants on Kameron Zamir Head, age 22, if Dothan.


Head is wanted for Shooting Into An Occupied Vehicle and Capital Murder. 


Kameron Zamir Head should be considered armed and dangerous.

DOTHAN POLICE PRESS RELEASE


On Tuesday night, September 12, 2023, at approximately 10:30 PM Dothan Police Officers and Criminal Investigators responded to a murder that occurred near the 2300 block of Denton Road.


Twenty-two year old Zion Brown of Dothan was the driver and only occupant of his vehicle traveling on Denton Road. Brown was struck by one of several bullets that were fired into his vehicle, killing him. His vehicle traveled off the roadway and through a vacant lot before coming to a stop on Murray Road.


Investigators have worked around the clock since the incident occurred. On Thursday, September 14, 2023, investigators obtained one warrant for shooting into an occupied vehicle and one warrant for Capital Murder for 22 year old Kameron Zamir Head of Dothan.  We are asking anyone who may know the whereabouts of Head to please call the Dothan Police Department at (334)615-3000.  The Dothan Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identity of anyone who would like to help in an anonymous capacity.

Dothan Police Chief Will Benny thanks each and every member of the Dothan Police Department, from the 911 Communications Center, Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division and Vice Division, and each member within. These men and women hit the streets running Tuesday evening at 10:30 PM and have worked around the clock investigating this needless death until a suspect was identified. And they all work together as a unified team with each complimenting others with their knowledge and abilities.


Chief Benny is proud to be the team leader of a group of dedicated men and women in searching out the true facts and identifying the suspect.


Now all of Dothan Police Department and other agencies are actively searching for the suspect to peacefully bring him into custody.
