COTTONWOOD: This morning at 5:23 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 paged Cottonwood Rescue to a medical call.
From sound asleep until the tires were rolling on the ambulance was 5 minutes. Excellent time considering you are asleep to in the ambulance and rolling to the scene.
In 8 minutes Cottonwood Rescue was on the scene of the medical call.
The patient was transported, non emergency, to Southeast Health by Cottonwood Rescue. The transport took 19 minutes from the scene to arrival at Southeast Health.
Here is what the times tell me. Responsible people were on the ambulance.
They wasted no time in rolling and getting to the scene. The transport did not require lights and siren to the hospital. With a 19 minutes transport time to the hospital they obeyed traffic laws.
If anytime someone tells you the men and women in emergency services ( volunteers ) are running around or running wild, these times of both Cottonwood Rescue and Kinsey Fire this morning paints a reality picture.
These times are accurate. I have a program on my phone and if listening, not always but sometimes, I will press the button for RESPONDING, ON SCENE, TRANSPORT, ARRIVAL AT HOSPITAL.
Then will look at the times and see how things are going. And I can tell you this morning on the two I monitored, EXCELLENT.
