NEW BROCKTON: NO NO Wrong information circulating on the Town of New Brockton aboloshing New Brockton Police Department.
Each municipality operates on a fiscal year which begins October 1 and ends Spetember 30. So during the month of September municipalities and county governments are discussing and approving budgets.
At the last meeting of New Brockton Town Council, as RSN is of the understanding, a decimal was accidentally left off of a figure. And that made it look as if the New Brockton Police Department was closing. That would have left the law enforcement coverage to Coffee County Sheriff Department.
Some people hit facebook upset that the New Brockton Police Department would be abolished.
This morning RSN checked with sources and RSN learned NO NO they are not discussing or abolishing the New Brockton Police Department. There was a decimal out of place which made it appear as such.
