DOTHAN:     10:23 AM     Dothan 911 alerted Dothan Police a motorhome had just been stolen from Gander Sales.


The white motorhome was being followed by someone with Gander Sales. The suspect was reported to be armed.


The motorhome pulled into Winn Dixie on Westgate Parkway. After a brief stop the driver took off to Redmond Road towards Flynn Road.


Dothan Police went to Gander and some Dothan Police were catching the motorhome and getting into position in the event the motorhome refused to stop.


The motorhome arrived at Redmond Road and Flynn Road, turning right towards Denton Road. Multiple Dothan Police units intercepted the motorhome and was able to get the motorhome to a stop.


Dothan Police were able to take the driver into custody without incident. Remember, the suspect was reported to be in possession of a firearm. There was a beer in the cup holder of motorhome and the driver appeared under the influence of alcohol.


Dothan Police Patrol Commander Sgt. Joey Evans instructed the 911 Center to dispatch Criminal Investigation Division.
