HOUSTON COUNTY - HODGESVILLE:      This morning multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies were in the Wiregrass Drive - Country Lane - Third Avenue - Hodgesville Road area.

On Friday a man came from within the woods to a resident. The man gave the man some water and he returned to the woods.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded and looked for the man but he was no found.

This morning ( Saturday ) Houston County 911 received a call that residents could hear someone yelling from the woods “ HELP “. When Houston County Sheriff Deputies arrived they could hear the man yelling.

Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded to areas from Hodgesville Road to Third Avenue and from Saunders Road south. The deputies were attempting to locate the man from hearing him yell for help. The man said his leg was broke.

The woods area was thick and hard to make access.

Finally from the 5000 block of Third Avenue Houston County Sheriff Deputies were able to locate the man. Pilcher Ambulance responded.

The man was in the woods and dehydrated. EMS responded into the woods with IV’s for the man. The man did have a broke leg. The deputies had to physically carry the man from the woods to the Pilcher Ambulance. He was transported to the hospital.

The search lasted about an hour.
