HOLMES COUNTY FL:   Elected in 2017 by the registered voters of Holmes County, John Tate took over as Holmes County Sheriff.

Four years later when re-election rolled around the Incumbent Sheriff was re-elected without opposition.

To qualify for elected office persons had to do so by this past week. After serving 8 years, two terms, once again Incumbent Sheriff John Tate has been re-elected with opposition.

The time to vote has not arrived yet. But when no one qualfies by the deadline that means the only one who has qualified is elected or re-elected. 

Sheriff John Tate is a man dedicated to the safety and security of the people of Holmes County Florida and the guests who are visiting Holmes County. Sheriff John Tate is accessible to the people he serves. He is proactive is working to make Holmes County Florida better and  safer.

Sheriff Tate took an exisint building which belonged to Holmes County on Highway 90. Being financially conservative, Sheriff Tate, along with the men and women who serve Holmes County Sheriff Department, some volunteers and inmate labor, they all pitched in and renovated the building to make a professional business office for the Sheriff Department.

During his tenure as Holmes County Sheriff, John Tate has also been innovative in vehicle purchases and save Holmes County thousands of dollars in vehilce purchases.

Holmes County Voters have been proud to have John Tate serve as their elected Sheriff. Congratulations on twice being re-elected without opposition.
