1:06 PM Search Warrant - Suspect Barricaded Inside - Turns Into Structure Fire

HOUSTON COUNTY: 1:06 PM In a joint investigation Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Dothan Police Department, and United States Marshall's Service went to A-OKAY Mobile Home Park to execute a search warrant.
On arrival of the officers, SRT Team and Dothan K-9the suspect in the mobile homes refused to comply with law enforcement directives to come out of the 5th Travel Trailer.
The trailer was surrounded and was about the breach the door to make entrance when smoke was noticed coming from the front of the camper.
Dothan Police Sgt. Jason Adkins requested Dothan Fire respond to stand by. When the smoke was noticed Sgt. Adkins directed Dothan Fire to up grade to emergency response.
As the suspect went to exit through a window on right rear of the travel trailer, while smoke was coming from the front of the trailer, the 5th trailer became consumed with fire.
Law Enforcement immediately took custody of the suspect and quickly ushered him to a safe distance from the working structure fire, which was now fully engulfed.
Dothan Fire, under the command of Dothan Batallion Chief StephenMesser worked the structure fire with Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ) and Engine 4 ( Southside ).
Also responding to the Third Avenue Fire were fire units from Rehobeth Fire, Southern Junction Fire, and Rehobeth Rescue.
Dothan Fire turned over command to Rehobeth Fire upon their arrival and Dothan Fire returned to service.
The search warrant was in relationship to some burglaries, stolen guns. Now investigators are going to have to sift through the burned debris to see what tey can locate.
On scene, Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza, Dothan Police Major Will Benny, Dothan Fire Deputy Chief Chris Etheridge, multiple Dothan Police, Dothan Fire, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, United States Marshall's Office, Rehobeth Fire - Rescue, Southern Junction Fire, and Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management.
The investigation is a multi department investigation.
