11:21 PM Update On Our Grandson Brantley Bradley At Children's Hospital

BIRMINGHAM AL:     We have completed day one in Birmingham and ready for day two.

As many are aware Brantley Bradley, our 7 year old grandson, had to be flown to Birmingham early this morning via Survival Flight from Dothan. Under the care of Southeast Health Emergency Room Director/Doctor Fred Pich and Flight Medic Mark Reynolds and others of which I do not know, Brantley was rushed from Southeast Health to Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

He has been under heavy sedation. The last time I have been able to see him my self was as they were loading him on the helicopter when I was able to tell him I loved him. Since that period hospital authorities have not allowed me to see him. His mother Emily has been with Brantley around the clock. His dad, Mike has been with him. 

Late this afternoon Mike had to leave and his step dad Josh is with Brantley and Emily.

We do not know yet what is the root of his medical issues. Late this afternoon a MRI was done. The results have not been revealed. The medical team is suppose to meet with Emily and Josh in the morning.

His symptoms have been his head has been hurting. Emily has carried him to the doctor. On Friday he was carried to the Emergency Department of Flowers Hospital and released.

On Saturday he put his arm around his Grandmother Kay and his legs turned to spaghetti. He was carried inside. He has thrown up a couple of times. Dothan Fire came and checked him Saturday night.

At Southeast Health Dr. Fred Pich was on duty. I sent Dr. Pich some information and was instructed to bring him into the Emergency Room. As I took him out of the vehicle he began throwing up.

Shortly after some tests Dr. Pich said he was consulting Children's Hospital in Birmingham. He told me retired Dothan Fire Captain Mark Reynolds was on Survival Flight and my thoughts on flying him to Birmingham. My response, he is in your hands ( Dr. Pich ) and those of Mark Reynolds. I could not ask for two better people to place my grandson's life in the hands of, whatever you decide.

THANK YOU to Pilcher Ambulance for transporting Brantley to the helipad. I was able to give him a kiss and tell him I loved him. With Emily on the helicopter, and one terrified 7 year old who went to sleep, off to Birmingham they went. The Mike, Josh, Jason and I left Dothan behind the helicopter and drove to Birmingham.

A lot I have not been able to respond, but THANK YOU for the outpouring of love through the messages left on the phone, text messages and voice messages. Your love has been felt by each of us.

Brantley needs your prayers. We still do not know what has caused this. But please, from Paw Paw and his family, wrap Brantley Bradley in your prayers. I might not be able to talk to you or respond because very emotional right now so if I don't, it is not because I don't want to, it is just I am and the family is an emotional wreck right now.
