GENEVA COUNTY:     11:21 AM    Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms, Geneva County Sheriff Deputies, Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson, Geneva County Emergency Management DIrector Brain Smith who also assists Geneva County Sheriff Department are on the scene of a death.

The location is on the corner of Grady Garner Road and New Hinson Road in the Fadette area.

Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms and the Criminal Investigators with Geneva County Sheriff Department are on the scene conducting an investigation.

Geneva County Emergency Management Director Brian Smith retired from Dothan Police Department. At the time of Smith's retirement he was commander of Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division. Smith, who was a resident of Geneva County became EMA Director. In addition to the duties with EMA, as a certified law enforcement officer, he voluntarily "assists" the Sheriff Department when needed. Which makes a great asset for Sheriff Helms and the citizens of Geneva County in utilizing extra manpower that is trained and willing to serve and protect.

Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson, Sheriff Helms and the Criminal Investigators are combing through details.

At this time suspicious circumstances.

Sheriff Helms assures the community there is no danger to the community so no reason for alarm in the community.

ALEA - State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Sheriff Department.
