DOTHAN: 11:39 PM. DOTHAN Fire 911 dispatched Dothan Fire to reports of a structure fire at Biltmore Apartments locates at 2810 Fortner Street between Ross Clark Circle and Honeysuckle Road.
Dispatched At 10:57 PM Multiple Dothan Fire units and local EMS responded.
Reports to the 911 Center there was a large amount of smoke.
On the arrival of Dothan Fire the apartment sprinkler system had kicked
in and extinguished the fire. The system dumped a lot of water. The initial assessment is the fire originated at the couch for some reason. Dothan Fire Marshall’s was dispatched to the scene.
As Dothan Fire arrived the water sprinkler system had kicked and extinguished the fire. Preliminary investigation the fire started around a couch.
Dothan Utilities, one of the first responders, was on the scene cutting the power.
A multi engine response because this was an apartment complex. Dothan Fire was on the scene quickly.
Deputy Chief Chris Etheredge was on the scene as well as Dity Officer Todd Phillips.
One person was transportEd non-Emergency for smoke inhalation.
