MALVERN — The water in Malvern has been shut off for several hours now as the system has been undergoing maintenance and upgrades on the system.
With the water being shut off not only does this mean no water to your house for personal needs, this also is a concern to the Volunteer Firemen of Malvern.
Malvern Fire Chief Anthony Johnson said "we are ready in the case of a fire. Slocomb, Fadette and Rehobeth Fire Departments have been notified of the possibility we would need to shuttle water from long distance with the worst case scenario of a working house fire." "Slocomb also has a tanker truck that would be used for a stationary water source if the need arises" Johnson added.
It is unknown when the water will be turned back on at this time.
For more information on the maintenance and upgrades of the system Johnson advised to contact the Town of Malvern.
