The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning. This could be a significant threat to life or property.
This was issued at 11:52 AM, September 26, 2024.
Issued for Houston County in southeastern Alabama and Jackson County in the panhandle of Florida.
This expires at 3:45 PM CST.
At 11:52 AM Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned areas. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD: Flash Flooding caused by thunderstorms.
IMPACT: Flash Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.
Some of the areas that will experience flash flooding include: Cottonwood, Marianna, Graceville, Dothan, Taylor, Kinsey, Ashford, Cowarts, Webb, Columbia, Chattahochee, Malone, Sneads, Rehobeth, Cottondale, Grand Ridge, Greenwood, Grimes and Avon.
ACTION RECOMENDED: Avoid the weather event as instructed in the Description.
