ASHFORD:    At 1:24 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Ashford EMS, Ashford Fire, Ashford Police to Pleasant Grove Road east of Ashford. A male patient was trapped under a tree.

Ashford Emergency Units called for Knight's Wrecker to respond ASAP, Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management, and Dothan Fire Paramedic engine to respond.

Ashford Fire told Dothan Paramedic's they had the wrecker, jaws and air bags to lift the tree off the man. Ashford EMS was on the scene treating the injured who was conscious but in extreme pain. Dothan was advised they needed the advanced Paramedic level treatment for the patient who had the authority to administer pain drugs.

Houston County Commissioner Doug Sinquefield, when notified, dropped what he was doing and responded. Commissioner Sinquefield always responds when notified, if possible, there to offer any assistance possible. He is the only Houston County Commissioner who consistently donates his time to respond and assist with emergencies.

At 2:00 PM Ashford EMS and Dothan Fire left the scene, trauma alert, and transported the injured to a Dothan hospital.
