HOUSTON and HENRY COUNTY:    On Thursday 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney elect Russ Goodman took the oath of office as District Attorney for Houston and Henry County.


The oath was administered by Retired 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Ed Jackson.


Goodman does not officially take office until midnight on January 16. With the gracious acceptance of 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pat Jones, Goodman has already started to work as an Assistant District Attorney to allow Goodman to be ready day one.


Russ Goodman is already an experienced prosecutor. So he knows how to prosecute. But the advance entry into the District Attorney Office allows him to look at the business end of the office and be ready day one of his six year tenure.


Russ Goodman will also take the oath of office in Henry County. As District Attorney he serves both Houston and Henry County
