HOUSTON COUNTY: Officials from the City of Dothan, Houston County, Dothan Fire Department, Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management, Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and Chief Deputy Jeff Carlisle along with Alabama Department of Public Health and Southeast Health came together in the Emergency Operations Center for a press conference.
Chief Executive Officer Rick Sutton, flanked by Southeast Health Medical Director Charles Harkness, announced a “out of state” patient has tested positive for COVID-19.
CEO Rick Sutton said Southeast Health is prepared and up for the task of treating patients. The staff of Southeast Health has the patient in isolation and being treated.
Isolation is defined as when the door opens the air is sucked in rather than out of the room. That allows any contamination to remain in the room.
Southeast Health has changed policies on visitation and please check the web site for those rules and regulations.
