EUFAULA: 3:53 PM The skeletal remains of an adult have been located in Eufaula.
The findings ARE NOT related to the Aniah Blachard missing person case in Auburn.sugges
Eufaula Police Chief Steve Watkins said in a prepared statement that Eufaula Police Department responded to an area southwest of downtown Eufaula to investigate possible remains found by a citizen. The skeletal remains were determined to be that of a person, decomposed and that of an adult.
Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman responded to the scene and took possession of the remains and a autopsy has been ordered to be performed by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
Chief Watkins said in the prepared statement evidence suggest a possible identity. Chief Watkins said Eufaula Police will wait for a positive identification of the remains.
