DALE COUNTY: Were you aware that even though Dale CountySheriff Mason Bynum's dad retired as Superintendent of Dale County Schools, Mason Bynum quit school?
Why did Mason Bynum quit school? Because they had recess and Mason Bynum DON'T PLAY!!
Just kidding, he did not quit school. in fact he went to some college, not sure where it is, but some college called, Auburn???
Today in Dale County Sheriff Bynum spotted a vehicle reported stolen from Jackson County Florida. Sheriff Bynum notified the Ozark- Dale County 911 dispatchers via radio that he was turning around on the stolen vehicle.
The persons are reported to have dipped into the McDonald's Restaurant attempting to hide. But you can not hide from Sheriff Mason Bynum.
Sheriff Bynum blocked the vehicle in when attempted to leave and notified dispatched he had suspects at gunpoint.
Multiple Dale County Sheriff Deputies rolled to the Sheriff, in a hurry. While Sheriff Bynum had the suspect(s) at gunpoint the incoming officers assisted in taking the suspect(s) into custody.
The stolen vehicle was in the computer. A wrecker called and the vehicle towed. And being the nice man Sheriff Bynum is, he provided the suspect(s) with room and board in the Dale County Jail.
Now, be clear, Mason Bynum DID NOT quit school.
Now, be clear, Sheriff Mason Bynum takes the protection and service to the citizens and guests of Dale County very serious. He handles administrative duties and gets in the field and performs law enforcement duties. And do not ever think for one minute that you ever need to even "think" about running from Sheriff Bynum much less committ the act of running. Because it will not work.
Sheriff Bynum has probably the thickest bumper on the front of his Sheriff truck and he AIN'T AFRAID TO USE IT!
The people of Dale County can be proud to call Mason Bynum THEIR SHERIFF.
