DOTHAN: 3:51 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a structure fire at 342 South Saint Andrews, Vaughn Towers.
The person reporting advised the alarm had been sounding for about 20 - 25 minutes and can smell smoke. There is oxygen in the building.
This being a multi level, multi family residential facility, based on the information presented to 911, policy dictates fire department response with adequate resources offensive attack should there be a structure fire.
Dothan Fire arrived and went to level one staging - which is all resources in position, ready to connect to fire hydrants and lay water supply lines in.
The origin of the smoke smell was located on the third floor of Vaughn Towers. It was determined food in the oven, no structure fire.
The residence was ventilated and all resources returned to service.
