COTTONWOOD:     4:50 PM    Multiple Law Enforcement Officers from multiple agencies just escorted Cottonwood Rescue from Hanging Moss Trial to Southeast Health.


This was a major emergency, rapid response.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA - Troopers, Dothan Police, Kinsey Police, Ashford Police, Gordon Police escorted Cottonwood Rescue with a law enforcement officer on board.


At 3:30 PM Houston County 911 dispatched Cottonwood Rescue and Cottonwood Police to a medical emergency on Hanging Moss Trial located off Will Varnum Road and State Line Road. The call was a 28 year old female was in and out of conscious.


A law enforcement officer came in contact with fentynal. Emergency Medical units administered the law enforcement officer with multiple cans of Narcan.


Dothan Fire Department Advanced Life Support unit was mutual aid requested to respond. The call was "officer down". Law Enforcement rolled emergency to intercept the ambulance. When Dothan Fire Department Advanced Life Support Team intercepted the ambulance they boarded and Cottonwood Rescue was brought to Southeast Health rapidly.


UNCONFIRMED REPORTS are shortly after arrival the law enforcement officer was conscious and talking.


There are law enforcement officers on the scene conducting further investigation at this time.


NOTE:    There are rumors that a officer was shot. NO ONE - NO ONE - NO ONE was shot and no law enforcement officer was shot.
