DOTHAN: 3:58 PM. Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police - Dothan Fire - Pilcher ambulance to a motor vehicle accident with injuries, East Main and Ross Clark Circle.
A two vehicle accident occupied by multiple persons. One vehicle overturned.
Dothan Fire Battaltion Chief responded. Dothan Fire Engine 5 ( Eastside ) and Dothan Fire Truck 1 ( Central ).
On the arrival of Dothan Fire Battallion Chief one additional ambulance was requested to respond, emergency. In a few minutes a third ambulance was requested but later canceled.
Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams was in radio contact with the scene determining the number of patient and injury severity.
A total of four people were transported to Southeast Health, trauma alert. It is unknown if trauma alert was due to the mechanism of injury or severity of the injuries.
Dothan Police is in charge of the accident investigation.
EMERGENCIES are never planned. Contingency plans have to be implemented and always on ready to respond.
