DOTHAN: Dothan Police and Dothan Fire responded to a report of a firearm assault in the 600 block of East Newton Street. Reports are one victim with a gunshot wound possibly not breathing.
Police arrived on scene and secured it to allow fire-medics to entree and treat the victim. The male victim was transported to the hospital with a trauma alert.
Officers on scene have deployed K-9 to attempt to track the suspect. A perimeter has been setup and K-9 is tracking the suspect southbound.
This make the second shooting today in Dothan. Investigators are arriving on the scene.
