HOUSTON COUNTY:     Law Enforcement 911 Communications dispatched a firearm assault on Jersey Drive near Columbia late this afternoon.


Law Enforcement units and Ashford Rescue responded to the scene.


Not much details are known at this time. One person is confirmed arrested and booked into the County Jail.


UNCONFIRMED the incident "could have" involved a theft or an attempted theft and the person firing the shots "could have" been the owner of the property. But the shooting could have been as the suspect(s) were leaving.


If a persons life is not in danger you can not fire as the suspect(s) are fleeing.


Again, UNCONFIRMED on the exact details of the incident at this time. The Law Enforcement Agency conducting the investigation possibly will release details later.
