GENEVA:    Geneva Police Chief Pepper Mock has announced the Geneva Police Department will host VALOR officer safety and wellness training.

Chief Mock announced the dates being May 15 and May 16.

VALOR training provides officers at all levels with the essentials to survive and thrive - by stressing the importance of being physically and mentally prepared, manintaing situational awareness , combatting complacency, and remaining vigilant.

The VALOR Officer Safety and Wellness Program ( VALOR Program ) has been provided by the Institute for Intergovernmental Research ( IIR ) since VALOR's inception in 2010.

In addition to this federally funded program , this class has been made possible by Geneva Mayor David Hayes and the City of Geneva, the Wiregrass RC & D Council, and The Vintage Room.
