6:22 PM One Dead - Three Injured As Building Being Demolished Fell To The GroundRickey Stokes

CHIPLEY FL: 4:00 PM Somewhere around 4:00 PM workers were in downtown Chipley Florida tearing down a building in the downtown area.
The building was at the corner of Highway 77 ( Main Street ) and Highway 90, but faced Highway 90 next to the Capital City Bank.
According to bystanders the machinery, excavator, was not running. The building structure they were in the process of tearing down collapsed.
According to bystanders two injuries were transported and remain at the hospital in Chipley. One was transported to a hospital in Dothan. That person possibly has two broke legs, UNCONFIRMED, only confirmed by bystanders.
There is confirmed one person was deceased. That person's body has been removed from the scene.
Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews and members of Washington County Sheriff Department are on the scene, Chipley Police Chief Scott Thompson and members of Chipley Police Department are on the scene, Chipley Fire - Rescue members are on the scene, Washington County EMS is on the scene.
Because of the intensity and busy emergency personnel we have not bothered them and asked any questions.
Again, confirmed, at least one dead, three injured of which two are at the hospital in Chipley and one transferred to Dothan.
UNCONFIRMED except by people standing on the scene, two air medical helicopters flew in as emergency crews were frantically working to determine exactly who many injuries or deaths were involved.
