MONTGOMERY: 6:16 PM Because of one Alabama State Senator who has zero confidence in the voters of the State of Alabama, the legislation on electronic bingo and lottery is DEAD for the 2024 Legislative Session.
And perhaps this Alabama State Senator who has zero confidence in the voters of the State of Alabama is right. Because voters elected him to office.
Sen. Greg Albritton, R-Atmore, was the key NO vote. WAIT, Atmore has a Indian Casino. AHHH, that is why he is in opposition.
It is amazing how these people ( those elected ) want the votes of the citizens but yet has no confidence in the citizens voting. A prime example of politicians who are two faced.
Alabama Senators who have opposed the legislation are Senators including Greg Allbritton, Gerald Allen, Lance Bell, Tom Butler, Josh Carnley, Chris Elliott, Sam Givhan, Keith Kelley, Wes Kitchens, Arthur Orr, Dan Roberts, Shay Shelnutt, and Larry Stutts have dug in their heels. They cite several reasons, but the bottom line is they do not trust the voters of the State of Alabama to be smart enough to make the right decision.
FOLKS, I do not care if it passes or not. What I do care about, and have confidence in, is the voters of the State of Alabama are smart enough to make the right decision.
But then again, the voters do elect STUPID people often times.
So unless something happens, Legislative Session 2024 decision, THE VOTERS OF ALABAMA ARE TO STUPID TO DECIDE!
